Carole Seuling (b. 1939) is best-known for her creation of Shanna the She-Devil. She wrote or co-wrote all but the last issue of the original five-issue 1972-1973 Marvel Comics series, with Steve Gerber co-writing issues #1 and #4 and writing issue #5 and some follow-ups. Gerber defers all credit for creation of Shanna and such characters as the Mandrill directly to her. The first four issues of Shanna, the She-Devil and a few stories for Red Circle Sorcery are her only foray into the comics medium.
