I love browsing the Comic art fans community.  I always see the coolest art and always find something I can use somewhere on one of my blogs.  Here is a piece by comic art great Bob Mcleod...I'd like to think it's SHANNA but in fact it is SHEENA...Tomato , Tomahto if ya axe me.  It's a jungle girl so...I'm happy either way.

SHANNA lead figure

I was browsing around in a store called FOURTH WORLD COMICS it's in Smithtown New York here on Long Island.  I came across a series of painted lead figures.  Them entire dossier of Marvel Characters is available in lead.  It would be a neat little display to have in a studio or Trophy room.  I saw SHANNA and just had to have her.  So yeah...I bought her for 14.95.  The figures come with a magazine loaded with art and character bios.  I have my SHANNA on my dresser next to my wallet and keys...and spare change.

DWAN - Jessica Lange a damsel in distress

In 1976 I fell in love with Jessica Lange as DWAN - you know like Dawn only with the W before the N...Her beauty and mannerisims and airy quality made her my America's sweetheart.  Everyone knows the story right?  She's kidnapped by the natives of Skull island and taken to their village in the jungle where they drug her and dress her up in their native garb and then tie her up as a tribute/sacrifice to KONG...but instead of eating her...he falls in love and wants to hug her and squeeze her and pet her with his thumbs and call her george.
   Even now at her age Jessica is still a beautiful lady.  Her roles on American horror story just show off her brilliant acting chops and once in awhile she even gets a little sexy...even with the lines in her face she still makes my motor hum.  But in 1976 when she was just a young beautiful actress...she was just too sweet for description...personally I loved King Kong 1976 and I recommend the film to any who has not seen it.  Just for Jessica alone.

Hope not...I think some JU JU voo doo magic is gonna save her...gotta wait till the next ish to find out!   A few weeks ago someone alerted me to the fact that this series was going and Shanna was involved.  I knew then and there I needed to go pick it up.  FRANK CHO is once again drawing spectacular APES AND BABES and Claw poppin' Wolverine action....here are some sneak peaks at the amazing art of Mr. CHO - and a spoiler...oops I gave it away.  But seriously I hope they don't kill her off...that'll just suck!    What I want to know is..." Who is the bald chick sending those great big GORILLA's after Logan?" Kim Kardashian's "KAT SUIT"

Never really been a KK fan so I will not expound on my opinions as to why..." If ya can't say nothin' nice then don't say nothin' at all "  That's as far as I'll go...but Kim's beauty is undeniable.  She sure looks mighty fine....

John Solie TARZAN promo poster

You've seen John Solies work just about everywhere..just look him up and you'll be surprised at all the movie posters he's done.  I saw a blurry shot of a signed ( By all of the people still alive who have ever played Tarzan ) on Ron Ely's facebook page.  I was interested in knowing who the artist was and even inquired to Ron and the person who posted the picture.  " Who painted this poster? "  I never got an answer.
   So today while browsing Tarzan memorabelia on ebay...I saw a great scan of the poster and the artists name was clear as day. "John Solie"  I contacted Mr. Solie through his website and hope that I can buy an autographed print.  Anyway...included are the two images from ebay.... Enjoy.
